WELCOME TO THE PARTY - SCRIPT
This has to be one of my most favourite pieces of work that I have ever produced.

Originally intended to be a 20-minute script for screen, I later adapted it into a stage play as advised by the critique that I received.

The story takes place at Chairman Mao's birthday party, yet the only people who turn up just so happen to be his least favourite friends - Vladamir Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Karl Marx and Fidel Castro. Before long, the attention has been stolen from the birthday boy due to the competitive nature of the three Russians. Mao decides he must put an end to their feuding and, with a few clever tricks, manages to convince the others that friendship is a lot more important than competition.

This script is a wild ride of corny humour, puns, satire and surrealism, and most certainly makes for an interesting table read.
